Working the System

How you take advantage of this opportunity is completely up to you. You can be totally casual and just refer the occasional person or you can build a full fledged business around finding potential investors (last year our highest paid affiliate earned over $40,000)! We are here to support you no matter how you want to approach this. That being said, there are a few things to keep in mind to maximize your chances of success.

Refer the right people

There is clearly no point in sending people our way who are never going to invest in real estate. We only pay a referral fee when someone actually becomes an investment partner so telling your 16 year old nephew to find us doesn't make any sense (unless they are a YouTube millionaire). So what kinds of people are the best fit? Read on!

Hard working young families: Generally we're talking about a young couple with two incomes and maybe a kid or two. They are conscientious and hard working. They are busy and could use a bit of extra income at the end of the month. Maybe they own a rental property or have thought about rental income or other real estate investment opportunities. The idea of totally passive stream of extra income would appeal to them. We have options they might like.

Hard charging couples: They probably don't have any kids and are focused on their careers. They work hard and they play hard. An extra few hundred a month would pay for some nicer toys or meals out. They may have a few investments and might be looking to diversify their portfolio. Perhaps they've heard real estate might be a good option. We can show them how.

Older couples nearing retirement: They're getting ready to retire and are looking for ways to maximize their retirement income. Maybe they have RRSPs or other savings they are trying to make the most of. Perhaps they have rental property they are tired of managing. We can help them get the most out of their resources.

Professionals: Doctors, lawyers and others with significantly above average income. They may be looking for tax-advantaged ways to build wealth. Probably not interested in cash flow from rentals but like the idea of building equity in real estate. We have some very tax-friendly options.

Landlords: People who currently own rental properties. Maybe it's not the "passive" income stream they thought it would be. Perhaps they are dissatisfied with the returns they are seeing or the amount of work involved. Send them to us, we can help.

We are here to help in any way we can. Please, please, please take advantage of us! We have an ever-expanding library of resources for you to use in whatever marketing efforts you come up with. The more we can work together, the more successful we will be. Here are some of the ways we can help.

Marketing resources: Don't re-invent the wheel. We have brochures, videos, blogs, ad copy, newsletters and more. Just tell us what you are trying to promote and we can send you all kinds of supporting material and links.

Consultation and coaching: Need some help figuring out a strategy? Not sure how one of our programs work? Give us a call. We are happy to talk marketing anytime! If you're in town we can arrange a training session if it would help.

Personal Appearances: Found four or five potential investors? Arrange a get together and we will be happy to come and do a presentation. If you're close, heck, we'll come with you to a one-on-one if it looks promising.

Email support: We provide ongoing email communication to all our potential investment partners. When they are ready to pull the trigger, we are there. You don't have to do anything but wait.
